ACLU Still #WINNING!

This week, with an important and timely social message in Times Square, the advertising epicenter of the world.

The 15-second spot reflects on rising anti-Muslim sentiments in the U.S., and calls for freedom of speech and religion.

You may recall that the ACLU was able to obtain the space from Neutron Media, who was looking to fill space formerly occupied by a Two and a Half Men ad. Charlie Sheen shenanigans cleared the space for our message, which was offered to us at a discount.

The new ad features a chilling photograph of a woman in hijab (headscarf) standing before graffiti reading “Muslims Go Home,” followed by pictures of young Americans holding signs reading “Support Freedom of Religion” and “Love thy Neighbor” and the message “Fight Hate Speech With More Speech.”

If you’re in NYC, you can view the video ad in Times Square on the north side of 42nd Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. It's running up to 36 times a day from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. And if you’re not in New York, you can read more about it in these blog posts by the and , or view the ad below:
